October's Challenge

Hi and welcome back to Eco Shifts! I took a short pause on these challenges over the summer - check our menu for April, May and June’s challenges in case you  missed any! -while I focused on school and travel, including a project with a local waste management NGO in South India. Spending time in waste management facilities really opened my eyes to how complex the systems are, and how much we, as individuals, contribute to them, often without understanding. It's not only about what we throw away, but how corporations and local institutions manage our waste. 
In the spirit of my newfound learnings, this month's challenge is all about waste management! From choosing what we recycle to rethinking what we're actually buying, each small decision adds up. 
So, for October, take the short TRASH OR TREASURE quiz to challenge your knowledge of the kind of waste you use, and raise awareness on how to dispose of it sustainably. The quiz is short, sweet, and hopefully makes you think twice before dropping random items into random bins!
